Written and directed by Edson Oda, NINE DAYS is set in the space immediately before birth. As an arbiter for new souls, it is Will’s (Winston Duke) job to decide who gets the opportunity to live. After his world is shaken by the death of one of his clients, he must then select a new applicant and send them on their way. While many of them may be adequate, it’s Emma (Zazie Beetz) who Will finds most intriguing, but he isn’t sure that she’s the right one for the journey. In this 1on1, we speak to Oda about what makes humanity so unique and balancing the tough questions.
