b'The Dialogue in Hell Between Machiavelli and Montesquieu was written by French attorney Maurice Joly in protest against the regime of Napoleon III. Many believe it was the basis for the "Protocols of Zion" the famous anti-semetic work, except that it doesn\'t discuss Judaism except for once or twice. What it does discuss is how an authoritarian can take over a Republic and the means by which to quickly do so.

Machiavelli is the author of the Prince and Montesquieu, while less known, had a larger influence on the design of the American political system.'
