"According to His Own Purpose" #RTTBROS #Nightlight \n\nWho hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.\n\n2 Timothy 1:9-11\n\nIn our daily lives, we often encounter what we perceive as coincidences or chance occurrences. Consider the story of a missionary who missed his flight due to an unexpected traffic jam. Initially frustrated, he later discovered that the plane he was meant to board had crashed. What seemed like an inconvenience was, in fact, God's providential protection. Such instances remind us that with God, there are no accidents or coincidences. Every event, whether big or small, is part of His grand design and purpose.\n\nOur lives are not random sequences of events but carefully orchestrated narratives written by the Divine Author. Long before we drew our first breath, God knew us intimately. As the Psalmist beautifully expresses, "Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them" (Psalm 139:16).\n\nWhile we may be blind to what lies ahead, God sees the entire tapestry of time. He acts not just in response to current circumstances but in perfect alignment with His eternal plan. As we're reminded in Galatians 4:4, "But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law." This assurance of God's sovereign control should infuse our hearts with peace and unwavering confidence.\n\nIn light of this truth, worry becomes unnecessary, fear loses its grip, and doubt fades away. No matter what storms we face, we can stand firm knowing that God's purpose is at work and His presence is assured. A Christian gripped by fear presents a poor reflection of God's power and love to the world. Instead, we are called to boldness, rooted in the certainty of His purpose.\n\nToday's Growth Principle:\nRecognizing God's sovereign control empowers us to face every situation with faith rather than fear.
