Automakers have been offering motorists freebies of one kind or another for years. From a deferral of your first several car note payments, to free gasoline and maintenance, freebies have been one of the favorite lures to attract consumers into showrooms. In the early days of the EV industry, Tesla was the first to offer their early customers "free electricity for life".
