November is Native American Heritage Month and the time of
\nyear when we observe Thanksgiving, a holiday whose
\nbeginnings were predicated on acknowledging our blessings
\nwith gratefulness for a shared, bounteous meal between two
\nvery different cultures with two very different concepts of land
\nownership. At this moment in time, there are two majorly
\nhorrendous wars being waged in the world. Mama B. hopes
\nlisteners will realize some of the commonality of experiences
\nbetween America\u2019s Native Americans and the participants in
\nthe current Israel-Hamas War. Her goal is for listeners to think
\nabout the intersectionality of political ideologies, religious
\nbeliefs and their mandates, and most of all. . . how land is
\ncentral to human existence.
