#DannyParker - Leah and Miani speak with Danny Parker, winner of the 2016 CBCA Honour Award in the Early Childhood category. Danny grew up in England and now lives with his wife and two children, a couple of dogs called Barney and Charlie and a cat called Tiny in sunny Perth. When he\u2019s not writing children\u2019s books, or thinking about writing children\u2019s books, Danny has a proper job \u2013 as a writer in residence, teaching writing and drama in a big independent boy\u2019s school. His book \u2018Perfect\u2019 is beautifully illustrated by Freya Blackwood and is about the simple childhood pleasures of enjoying a perfect day.
