Prevention/Treatment of Substance Use Disorders (Aired on May 9, 2021)

MARC Foundation Board President Mike Fanelli and Co-Chair of the Foundation\u2019s annual golf tournament Patty Hogan visit RadioRotary to discuss the origin and mission of the MARC Foundation, as well as two events\u2014a golf tournament that is a major fundraiser for the Foundation and a free picnic to celebrate sobriety. From beginning as a place where alcoholics could sober up in 1977 to today\u2019s community treatment centers of Mental Health America of Dutchess County (the Crisis Center, Bolger House, Florence Manor, Dowling House, sober-supported housing), the Mid-Hudson Addition Treatment Community has helped individuals deal with substance use disorders. Since 1987 the MARC Foundation has funded improvements in these treatment centers; recently the Foundation has also supported prevention and treatment of substance use disorders in various community endeavors in Dutchess County.
