Satara Brown, founder of Rebuilding Our Children and Community, Inc. returns to RadioRotary to tell about her work with the juvenile division of the City of Poughkeepsie police department, especially the pilot Juvenile Intervention Program. Ms. Brown has been heavily involved in helping young persons mature and find better lives for a long time, including (but hardly limited to) founding Rebuilding Our Children and Community, Inc. Ms. Brown also is Director of Communications and Community Engagement for Day One Early Learning Community in Poughkeepsie (which is scheduled to open in 2021) and a board member of the Poughkeepsie Schools Foundation. The new Juvenile Interventions program, open to any youth needed more support, includes weekly meetings and monthly workshops, often in connection with the program\u2019s local partners such as Hudson River Housing, Dutchess Country Probation, Mental Health American of Dutchess County, and many others.
