Nyhisha Gibbs, Manager of Volunteers for Dutchess Outreach, and Coat Drive Volunteer Manager Mary Dynes visit RadioRotary to report on the various ways that Dutchess Outreach helps feed the community and to promote their annual winter coat drive. Dutchess Outreach is best known for running the daily Lunch Box, which supplies nutritious food for both lunch and dinner. Because of Covid-19, currently the meals are provided in boxes, distributed outside in front of the Family Partnership Center. Dutchess Outreach is also the prime mover in an annual coat and warm clothing drive. Clothing is donated around the country at Guardian Self Storage units and Red Cap Cleaners and at the Rotary Clubs of Pleasant Valley and Millbrook. On specific days in November (check the Websites below), the clothing is distributed at various locations around the county, free to all in need.
