Welcome to episode #154!\xa0 Matt and Braden talk about the influence AI and virtual reality is having on the porn industry.

Know your influencers
The companies and individuals producing AI are exposing what they value. They value profit over people and are willing to entice consumers with false narratives of how to get satisfaction. Sexual pleasure is supposed to come in the form of intimate connection in marriage, but AI draws us away from not only marriage, but all human connection. Because the people producing this run the porn industry, we have to be very aware of how we've been influenced by the people producing even regular porn, let alone AI porn.

Super stimuli is damaging
Virtual reality, AI porn, machines that give sexual gratification, and more similar inventions are all super stimuli for our brains. Super stimuli gets us hooked on something that gives us even more of a 'hit' than we get from the natural things God made us to enjoy. It gets us hooked on a reality that isn't real.

Since AI porn, virtual reality, and things like it can be whatever we want it to be, we develop super stimuli in our brains that create long-term damage and get in the way of the pleasure we can have in relationships.

Jesus is real and is for you
We are all made for connection. We need real, human connection that is healthy and consistent. We need to be able to be known by someone real. The relationship between porn and depression/anxiety is real - and it's made worse when we can develop 'relationships' with AI-created 'pornstars' that give us a false sense of connection.

Jesus is real and is waiting for your gaze. Even if you don't know how to connect with Him, you can just tell Him that and open your Bible. No matter where you're at, there is more of Jesus that you can experience and seeking connection with Him will overflow into deep, human relationships.
