Hey Everyone,\n\nAngela Bowen here, the host of Together, We're Gonna Find Our Way: An Unofficial Silver Spoons Podcast.\n\nToday, I covered a spooky Halloween themed episode for the month of October from Season 3. It's S3E5: It Was A Dark And Stormy Night, which aired on October 28, 1984.\n\nIn this episode after the power goes out, it's a dark and stormy night as Edward encourages Rick and his friends to tell a pass-the-ghost story to help them get over the fact they can't watch their monster movie marathon on TV.\n\nThis was a cute episode that had the trio Rick, Alfonso and Freddy dressed as boys from the early 19th century complete with blazers and newsboy caps. The Stratton mansion was decked out in eerie decor with cobwebs, sheets on furniture, fog and a spooky green lighting effect all for purposes of this ghost story that takes up the length of the episode.\n\nI loved the reveal of the kitten under the moving top hat.\n\nEdward as Dr. Edgar Swell/Mr. Rotten gives a creepy/hilarious performance\n\nKate plays the captive woman in the sarcophagus who helps the boys try to escape the evil Dr. Swell as she explains he experiments on animals and does strange things with guacamole.\n\nDexter plays Frankenstuffins (cute name) who turns out to be Dr. Swell's creation who is to my and everyone's surprise a friendly monster.\n\nOverall, this was an enjoyable episode, Joel's (Edward) acting was so enjoyable to watch as he played dual personalities of Dr. Edgar Swell and Mr. Rotten.\n\nKate didn't get a lot of screen time, but it helped give us and the boys the information we needed on Dr. Swell.\n\nThe Frog On The Big Screen behind the front door was such a cool effect. I wasn't expecting that.\n\nI love how at the end when the power came back on Dexter came up to the room dressed as Frankenstein for a Halloween party and spooked the boys.\n\nJoin me next month for the two part Thanksgiving Episodes S3E7and S3E8: Village Of The Darned Parts 1 & 2, which aired on November 11 and 18, 1984.\n\nIn PART 1,\n\n Ricky and Alfonso are disappointed when they're unable to go a Thanksgiving party, as Edward, Kate and Dexter have decided to take them on a surprise trip to the Caribbean island of St Agnes in the company plane, which Kate is piloting.\n\nIn PART 2\n\nThe Strattons make an emergency landing on a Caribbean island where they have Thanksgiving dinner.\n\nHave a great week everyone!\n\nTO EMAIL THE PODCAST GO TO:\n\nSILVERSPOONSPODCAST@GMAIL.COM
