Hey Everybody,\n\nAngela Bowen here, the host of Together, We're Gonna Find Our Way: An Unofficial Silver Spoons Podcast.\n\nToday, I'm covering S2E3: A Fair to Remember, which aired on October 29, 1983.\n\nIn this episode after getting in trouble in class, Ricky sets out to win the 8th-grade science fair - with a little help from Kate, who is trying to prove a point with Edward.\nI rated this one 2/5 \U0001f682\U0001f682\n\nI just felt like the episode was lacking something. \n\nWe meet Derek\u2019s mother in this episode who I think bears a striking resemblance to Judith Light from Who\u2019s The Boss and through Derek\u2019s eavesdropping experiment she learns of her husband\u2019s infidelity as we hear him check into a hotel and this apparently isn\u2019t the first time.\n\nIt\u2019s a shame that everyone knew but her. I mean Ricky, Edward, Kate and Derek, heck even us have known for a while now as hints have been given throughout Season 1.\n\nMy guess is they kept this up for a reason for Derek\u2019s departure from the show later this season.\n\nI love that Kate helped Ricky with his idea for the science project as the rejected laser light projection that Edward had turned down earlier from a potential client.\n\nI really dislike Ricky\u2019s science teacher Mr. Bartlett and believe Ricky when he says the teacher clearly has it out for him.\n\nNext week on the podcast things get serious in S2E4: The Hospital, which aired on November 12, 1983.\n\nIn this episode Edward, Kate and Ricky are all set for a picnic until Edward suffers from a sudden gallstone attack, which lands him in the hospital.
