Hey Everyone,\n\nAngela Bowen here, the host of Together, We're Gonna Find Our Way: An Unofficial Silver Spoons Podcast.\n\nToday I'm covering S2E18: A Summer's Romance Parts 1 and 2, which aired on March 10, 1984 and March 17, 1984.\n\nIn Part 1:\n\nRicky's classmate Leslie has a crush on him, and visits him to help rehearse a play. She brings her mother Veronica, who turns out to be an old flame of Edward's. Veronica causes problems when she tries to rekindle the flame.\n\nIn Part 2:\n\nEdward finds himself in the awkward position of having to choose between Leslie's mother Veronica and Kate when the latter catches him in a passionate kiss. He must decide between the two - but has Kate already decided to leave?\n\nI gotta hand it to Kate she handled this situation with Edward and Veronica very stoically and strong even though I\u2019m sure her heart was breaking inside.\n\nWhen Edward finally does choose Kate (because of course he does, Spoiler Alert they get married in Season 3) Kate doesn\u2019t take him back right away. It takes prodding from Ricky to get them to give each other a goodbye kiss and then like magic all is fixed.\n\nThis episode other than Kate and Edward was meh for me.\n\nVeronica was a garbage person, she\u2019s divorced and enjoys living comfortably so she decides to rekindle with Edward even though he\u2019s in a relationship (who does this?) Her daughter Leslie is no better as Ricky tries to break things off but she\u2019s a I don\u2019t take no for an answer kind of girl like a leech you can\u2019t burn off UGH!\n\nJoin me next week for S2E20: Spare The Rod, which aired on March 24, 1984.\n\nIn this episode Ricky finds out that his accident-prone friend Toby is actually being physically abused by his father.\n\nI hope you enjoy the episode and have a great day
