Happy Sunday Night Punky Peeps,\n\nAngela Bowen here, the host of Punky Power: An Unofficial Punky Brewster Podcast.\n\nTonight I'm covering S4E13: The Reading Game which aired on May 13, 1988.\n\nIn this episode Cherie's cousin Paula is a talented artist. When it is suggested that she enters a contest, she balks at filling out the entry form because she doesn't know how to read.\n\nThis episode not only deals with the importance of literacy, but also teaches us a lesson in child safety.\n\nPut child locks on cupboard doors that are at waist level or put all cleaning products out of reach of children by storing them in cupboards high enough that a child can\u2019t reach with a chair.\n\nIf kids want something bad enough they\u2019ll use whatever means possible, chairs, drawers etc to get to it.\n\nI really was amazed the 911 operator was so calm and reassuring with Paula.\n\nStrawberry Meatloaf Ice cream.
