Happy Saturday Punky Peeps !\n\nAngela Bowen here, the host of Punky Power: An Unofficial Punky Brewster Podcast.\n\nThe Season 3 Finale is here !\n\nS3E22: Unhooking Henry which aired on December 7, 1987.\n\nIn this episode Punky tries to help Henry break his addiction to sleeping pills.\n\nI thought this episode was done so well, being it dealt with a subject as serious as prescription drug abuse.\n\nIt got the message across to kids that was straight forward enough to get the point across without scaring kids into thinking just because someone is taking prescription drugs does not make them a pill popper or pill head and not talking down to them.\n\nNot once did I hear the term addict or addiction used it was \u201chooked\u201d which was a great way to play it safe and also Punky\u2019s Just Say No Program was referenced by Henry.\n\nGood job writers and to George Gaines and Soleil for their awesome acting in this episode.
