Happy Sunday and Happy Mother's Day Punky Peeps,\n\nWhether you're a mother to a human child or a fur kid, all moms should be celebrated today.\n\nI'm Angela Bowen the host and welcome to another episode of Punky Power: An Unofficial Punky Brewster Podcast.\n\nS3E19: So Long, Studio\n\nAir Date: December 2, 1987. \n\n Photo developing tycoon Matt Glossy offers to buy Henry's studio for $100,000. When he accepts the deal, he ends up working for him. Dissatisfaction quickly sets in, so Henry quits his job. Since his contract with Mr. Glossy forbids him from opening another studio for several decades, he opens a restaurant instead.\n\nI spend a bit of time in this podcast episode ranting about this Mr. Glossy man and his treatment of Henry. I also look up the average (2018) price of a skate board and see a familiar faced actress who played Mrs. Dempsey in this episode was also in Season 1\u2019s episode Take Me Out To The Ball Game as Sister Bernadette. I also learned that back in 1987 when people wrote checks frequently, you were supposedly to show ID (Driver\u2019s License or State ID) and apparently two credit cards. Good grief!\n\nJoin me later this week when I finish Season 3 of Punky Brewster:\n\nS3E20: HELP WANTED\n\nAir Date: December 3, 1987.\n\nPunky convinces Henry to let her work at Punky's Place, the new restaurant named for her. However, she screws things up tremendously and is quickly fired.\n\nS3E21: REMEMBER WHEN\n\nAir Date: December 4, 1987\n\nA blackout prompts the gang to reminisce on old times (in clips from previous episodes).\n\nand the Season 3 Finale S3E22: UNHOOKING HENRY\n\nAir Date: December 7, 1987\n\nPunky tries to help Henry break his addiction to sleeping pills.\n\n\nHave a great weekend!!
