Here's a new episode Punky Peeps, \nI will be reviewing Punky Brewster S1E17 My Aged Valentine which aired on February 10, 1985. Just in time for Valentine\u2019s Day.\n\nIn this episode after one too many unwanted advances of affection from a boy in class named Conrad, Punky has had enough especially when he kisses her, having not consented she takes it upon herself to haul off and punch the boy in the face. With her girlfriends pairing off with their significant others, Punky finds herself alone and imagines a future that spans 80 years where she, Henry and Brandon as well as Cherie and Allen are all dressed in horrible old age prosthetics and make up.\n\nWhile Punky, Cherie, and Margaux are making Valentine's Day cards in the kitchen Margaux warns Punky if she doesn\u2019t get a boyfriend now, she\u2019ll have to go with Henry to her high school prom and Punky points out that the high school prom is 10 years away.\n\nWow, she\u2019d be graduating in what 1995.\n\nPunky as a 90\u2019s teenager. Now that I\u2019d like to see. Pre cell phone/internet/facebook, youtube, twitter, instagram, era. Pre Columbine and 9/11. \n\nDo you think that those things would have effected her even more than the Challenger explosion. Granted by those times she\u2019d most likely be out of college, Brandon would have passed of old age and Henry would hopefully still be kicking around 16 years later at 76.\n\nI\u2019d love to see a show of Punky and Cherie with their own kids. That\u2019d be cool, to me anyway.\n\nI\u2019m giving this one a low rating that\u2019s right One out of 5 Brandon Tail Wags.\n\n1.\tfor Punky telling Conrad that he needs to understand that he\u2019s just her friend not her boyfriend. And a lesson for boys to get consent first before kissing a girl, don\u2019t just throw caution to the wind and dive in.\n\nI knocked off 4 Brandon tail wags for these reason:.\n\n For Margaux\u2019s weird advice on how Punky should have a boyfriend at 8 years old in the third grade so she\u2019ll be ready for prom in 10 years and won\u2019t be old and alone.\n\n For Punky slugging Conrad, never result to violence to solve a problem, use your words. He did not assault her he just didn\u2019t get her consent.\n\n For the atrocious old age make up which to me seemed frightening and uncomfortable.\n\nNext Monday June 26, I will be covering what I think is one of the most heartbreaking episodes of the show or at least Season 1 S1E18 I Love You Brandon which aired on February 17, 1985.
