Happy Halloween Everyone,\n\nAngela Bowen here, the host of Punky Power: An Unofficial Punky Brewster Podcast.\n\nToday, I'm covering another Bonus Episode, Wishbone S2E1: Halloween Hound The Legend of Creepy Collars Part 1 & 2, which aired on October 15, 1997.\n\nIn this episode PART 1:\n\n"The Legend of Sleepy Hollow' dominates as Halloween comes to Oakdale. Wishbone imagines himself as Ichabod Crane while Joe and his two schoolmates participate in Oakdale's scavenger hunt.\n\nIn this episode PART 2:\n\nWishbone and the gang participate in Oakdale's first annual Halloween scavenger hunt, complete with a haunted house.\n\nI really love this episode, it's perfect for this time of year. \n\nIt kicks off Season 2 of the show with a 1 Hour Special Halloween 2 Part Episode and the book featured for this episode is The Legend of Sleepy Hallow by Washington Irving. \n\nIchabod Crane's fear of ghosts or spirits as he refers to them match up perfectly with Joe's (Wishbone's owner) fear of being unlucky (Wishbone missing Joe's basketball practice, Joe wearing smelly socks for "good luck" and a black cat crossing his path)and the old Murphy place (which is just an old run down house)as well as the past two Halloweens being "unlucky" for him (one year he sprained his ankle and couldn't play basketball and the other Halloween he came down with Chicken Pox).\n\nJoe's Mom along with his friends (David and Sam) tell him this bad luck nonsense is just all in Joe's head and he's making a big deal out of it.\n\nHonestly Joe's incessant whining about Halloween being bad luck for him was getting annoying. He kept saying how he just wanted to stay home and help his Mom hand out Halloween candy or keep an eye on Wishbone, both his friends weren't having it, since they signed him up with them for scavenger hunt which takes them all over Oakdale and ends at the "old Murphy Place, thus Joe facing his fears. Just like Ichabod and the Headless Horseman.\n\nI hope you all enjoy this Podcast Episode and have a safe and Happy Halloween (If you celebrate it).
