He\u2019s a native of Seattle, who grew up aboard a sailboat, and often found adventure around the islands and marinas and commercial docks of the Pacific Northwest\u2026 sometimes trouble. He now lives in California with his family but frequently returns to his hometown to soak up the ever-present company of the rain.
His debut novel, PAST CRIMES, won the Anthony, the Macavity, and Strand Magazine\u2019s Critics Award for Best First Novel. It was also nominated for the Edgar, Barry, and Nero awards.
