He earned a B.S. from Bowling Green State University, majored in bio-chemistry and graduated Summa Cum Laude, attended medical school at the University of Toledo College of Medicine, and his post-graduate education included studies at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center for General Surgery where he also did his residency.
