b'Paul Aitken grew up in the Greater Washington DC area; and eventually made his way to Albuquerque, NM where he obtained a degree in criminology from the University of New Mexico. After co-founding a couple of businesses and selling them, he caught the RC bug and began flying remote controlled planes and multi-rotors, which led him to Unmanned Vehicle University in Phoenix, AZ where he graduated at the top of his class. While running a successful strategic marketing company, he continued to hone his UAV flight skills at every opportunity and began to take on UAV training opportunities, including training pilots for the National Association of Broadcasters and students from the BBC, CNN, Fox News, ABC and CBS. Having now been fully immersed in flying UAV\\u2019s and training others to fly, he realized he loved training and helping others who were wanting to turn the same passion he had for flight into a new career for themselves. It was around this time that Drone U was born with Paul being one of the co-founders. While working on developing curriculum for Drone U and discovering more and more information that could be passed on to budding UAV pilots, he continued to improve his own piloting skills and began to get noticed, and ultimately hired, by people and companies who saw the value in well executed drone footage. Paul has flown, and continues to fly, for multiple multi-national companies in multiple genres, including BBC, ITN, Fox News, Discovery Channel, Sony Pictures, Marriott Hotels and Resorts and Centurion Boats, to name a few. It is his love of flight and his real life experience that he strives to share with the Drone U community, which is why he wrote the book "Livin the Drone Life."
