He released his first original solo album \u201cMy Hood The Musikal\u201d in January 2010. The tragic death of his fianc\xe9 and infant daughter led him to travel the US in search of peace and purpose and helped him continue to create inspiring music. Akkean is currently writing a children\u2019s book series, dedicated to his two young sons.\n\nFrom being a single father at the age of 15, to losing his brother to gang violence on his 15th birthday, Akkean has overcome obstacles that could have sent many down a dim path, but his eagerness to leave his legacy on the world, and his determination to be the best father he could, gave him the strength to dig deep and share his story and talents with the world.
