REVIEWING OUR JOURNEY IN PRAYER AND INTERCESSION IN 2019.

ISAIAH 50:4

The Sovereign Lord has given me a well-instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. The Father has spoken and revealed several things to us during our prayer and devotional engagement since the beginning of 2019 that we need to revisit and review even as we prepare to enter 2020. It is wisdom to frequently resist the things we’ve received or instructed to carry out in the past to be sure that we still know and practice them according to divine injunction.

There are several things the Lord has unveiled to us through the scripture which has guided our pathway into the ministry and mystery of prayer. Dealing with weariness in spiritual transition is a major issue that we often take for granted. As we allow the Spirit of renewal and refreshment to fall on us as we engage this few weeks of spiritual review, I pray that spirit of discouragement, heaviness, and weariness will be dealt with. It’s time to find grace and help even as we continue to press further in the place of effective intercession and prophetic engagement in the seasons ahead. It's time to get refreshed in the light of this spiritual emphasis on dealing with weariness.

In the course of our journey in spiritual matters, we usually find ourselves at that point where tend to be tired, weary, or even frustrated because certain things are not turning out the way had expected to. However, if we learn to retrace our steps back to the direction and instruction of the Spirit, we will always discover that the Lord has never failed in the promise of his purpose for us.

I have no doubt that we can get refreshed and re-empowered if we take time hid to some of the things that will be brought to our attention as we go back to some of these great spiritual impartation, instructions, and experiences, we’ve acquired from the beginning of 2019. Isaiah chapter 50:4-5 has been the spiritual footing and the framework of our engagement when it comes to prayer and intercession.

[The Lord rebukes Jeremiah for his impatience, saying] “If you have raced with men on foot and they have tired you out, then how can you compete with horses? If you fall down in a land of peace [where you feel secure], how will you do [among the lions] in the [flooded] thicket beside the Jordan?
