KINGDOM ARCHITECTURE. THE CHURCH, FROM TRADITION TO A TRUE KINGDOM SOCIETY. ACTS CHAPTER 9 AND 10. PART 77

Tradition, the extension of man’s philosophy has always been a major hindering point for the church to fully enter the scope of heaven’s intention of leadership engagement. Tradition is antagonistic to the very definition of sound biblical spirituality. The human philosophy has built a major stronghold within the minds of the church to the degree that when they give their hearts to the Lord, those strongholds are still allowed to maintain their position of influence, and this is the single reason many are not able to access the promises of God for their redemption.

This is the very same problem found in the early church and its leadership. The Lord cannot introduce his Church to the next phase of its journey without addressing this stronghold of traditions of men. As we investigate Acts chapter 9 towards chapter 10, we begin to see God deal with this strong Spirit of tradition, which was embedded in the church's life, particularly in the very life of someone's life Apostle Peter who is an arrowhead of the church.

The Lord had to confront Peter's mindset of religious philosophy inherited from his Jewish background. Even at the conversion of Pual, the majority of the brethren in Jerusalem were willing to believe and accept the testimony of Paul unit Barnabas took Paul to himself and presented him to the Elders of the Church in Jerusalem. if we have the model of Jerusalem's church without transiting in maturity into that position that is willing and ready to move towards the uttermost part of the earth outreach, we will be limited to what the Father cannot do through use.

The Lord had to do a new thing in the life of Peter to introduce the ecclesia to the change that will lead her to a greater height of spiritual conquest. This same elementary but advanced work of engaging our prejudices and fear is what the Spirit of the Lord is doing in our time. If we desire to see the kind of reform, transformation, and restoration in the early church as they yielded themselves to the dealings of God, we will also see a greater advancement of the church pushing the prophetic activity of the Father towards the finalization of his intentions.

ACTS 9:19-31

19...Saul spent several days with the disciples in Damascus. 20 At once he began to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God. 21 All those who heard him were astonished and asked, “Isn’t he the man who raised havoc in Jerusalem among those who call on this name? And hasn’t he come here to take them as prisoners to the chief priests?” 22 Yet Saul grew more and more powerful and baffled the Jews living in Damascus by proving that Jesus is the Messiah.

23 After many days had gone by, there was a conspiracy among the Jews to kill him, 24but Saul learned of their plan. Day and night they kept close watch on the city gates in order to kill him. 25But his followers took him by night and lowered him in a basket through an opening in the wall.

26 When he came to Jerusalem, he tried to join the disciples, but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he really was a disciple. 27But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles. He told them how Saul on his journey had seen the Lord and that the Lord had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had preached fearlessly in the name of Jesus. 28 So Saul stayed with them and moved about freely in Jerusalem, speaking boldly in the name of the Lord. 29 He talked and debated with the Hellenistic Jews, a but they tried to kill him. 30When the believers learned of this, they took him down to Caesarea and sent him off to Tarsus. 31 Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace and was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it increased in numbers.
