Approval- October 19, 2020 Regular Meeting Minutes

B) Pat Galloway, Director of Financial Services

1. Approval - Increase budget $1,100 for CARES Act funding awarded for supplemental foster care COVID-19 payments.

2. Approval - Increase Sheriffs budget $11,838 to purchase bullet proof vests and associated equipment. OJP Bullet Proof Vest grant funds have been awarded in the amount of $4,035. The 50% required matching funds along with funds needed to purchase the additional equipment (carriers, special threat plate, name plate, etc.) in the amount of $7,803 will be met with Federal Forfeiture funds available in reserve fund balance.

C) Mark McClintock, Tax Administrator

Approval - Tax Collection & Reconciliation Reports for October 2020

D) Leigh Cockram, Director of Economic Development, Small Business & Tourism

1. Approval - Resolution approving to submit a formal application with the North Carolina Department of Commerce's Rural Division Building Reuse grant program to benefit "Project Disney" and will invest monies in the amount of 5% or $25,000 for the grant amount of $500,000 awarded toward the purposed renovations as committed to in the application.

2. Approval - Resolution approving to submit a formal application with the North Carolina Department of Commerce's Rural Division Building Reuse grant program to benefit "Project Turner" and will invest monies in the amount of 5% or $10,000 for the grant amount of $200,000 awarded toward the purposed renovations as committed to in the application.
