a) Approval of 2019 Meeting Schedule – Rockingham County Board of Commissioners

b) Rodney Stewart, EMS Operations Supervisor – Approval of October 2018 Financial Statement

c) Susan Young, Interim Health Director – Reappointment of two representatives to the Rockingham County Child Fatality Prevention Team/Community Child Protection Team

d) Lance Metzler, County Manager – Consider approving inclusion of Sheriff Off-Duty Officer Fee to the County’s Master Fee Schedule. Fee reads as follows: Off Duty Officer Fee - $35 per hour ($25 paid to officer, $10 administrative fee)

10. OLD BUSINESS

a) Discuss Rezoning Request from Tom Malone (Case #2018-027), for the Intersection of Ellisboro Road and Cannonball Court to be rezoned from Residential Agriculture (RA) and Residential Protected (RP) to Neighborhood Commercial (NC) and Residential Agriculture (RA). Approximately two acres of the 18.9-acre parcel will be dedicated to Neighborhood Commercial (NC) uses. The remaining 16.9 acres will be rezoned to Residential Agricultural (RA). At its October 8, 2018 meeting, the Planning Board voted 4-2 to recommend approval.

a) Lynn Cochran, Planner, Planning & Inspections – Approve revisions to Unified Development Ordinance, Special Use Permit for a Rural Family Occupation of a Nonagricultural/Commercial Nature, Chapter 2, Article IX, Section 9-11(t). Text amendment revises setback requirements for commercial structures, eliminating the currently required 100 ft. setback from rights of way; changing setback requirements to match the standard setbacks in the Residential Agricultural district, with the discretion to require additional setbacks upon consideration of the nature of any proposed commercials use and/or structure; additionally clarifying language regarding permit standards. At its November 13, 2018 meeting, the Planning Board voted unanimously (7-0) to recommend approval of text amendment to the Board of Commissioners.
