Scapegoat

Published: April 3, 2011, 10 a.m.

In the Old Testament, the Jews used a "scapegoat" on which the preist symbolically placed all of the sins of the people, and sacrificed it. This was a yearly practice for many, many years, and was ultimately fulfilled in the sacrifice of Jesus, the Lamb of God, for our sins. Christ's sacrifice washed the sins of the world away once and for all. -Download slides for this sermon below.(SCAPEGOAT.PDF)
