A movie about Hollywood? Groundbreaking.\n\nIt's Tansy's turn to pitch this week, and she has poached Charles' favourite curly haired band boys and turned The 1975's Give Yourself A Try into a weird LA indie comedy drama about a child actor with no sense of identity and her writer friend who's one break away from success.\n\nA writer? Writing about a writer? Groundbreaking.\n\nThere's also unsuccessful alcoholism, a lot of New Zealand cultural references, a dog named Tupac and an unexpected Bruce Springsteen cameo. What a fuckin rollercoaster. This pitch has too much plot.\n\nSongs Referenced:\nGive Yourself A Try (The 1975)\nThe Sound (The 1975)\nSomebody Else (The 1975)\nHow To Draw/Petrichor (The 1975)\nWestern Stars (Bruce Springsteen)\n\nFollow us @pitchshiftpod, or if you want to choose your fighter, you can follow Charles @gharlesochady and Tansy @tansyclipboard on the hell site (Twitter)
