COP International Records Releases Music Video For \u201cCome Together (We Will Stop You)\u201d For Bandcamp Friday As Thank You After Track Receives Incredible International Attention & To Encourage More Donations For People Of Ukraine.

After seeing the incredible success of the single \u201cCome Together (We Will Stop You)\u201d over the past week \u2013 a cover song done in tribute by the super group Lifeline International to support the people of Ukraine, with 100% of proceeds going to UNICEF \u2013 music label COP International Records has now released a music video for the track as a thank you and to continue encouraging donations to help the victims of the ongoing war.

The video features appearances by musicians from around the world who contributed to the track, including bassist Bill Gould (Faith No More), guitarist Richard Kruspe (Rammstein), vocalist Chris Connelly (Ministry/Revolting Cocks/The Joy Thieves), vocalist Jeff Scheel (Gravity Kills), vocalist Lisa K (Basement Jaxx, The Crystal Method), drummer Matt Walker (ex-Filter, Morrissey, The Smashing Pumpkins), Julia Sania (from Ukrainian band The Hardkiss) and legendary producer John Fryer (Depeche Mode, Cocteau Twins, Nine Inch Nails).

\u201cThe contributors were spread all over the world, so watching the video was the first time I got a true sense of exactly how many people were involved with the song\u2019s creation,\u201d explains COP International Records founder Christian Petke who came up with the idea with producer John Fryer, inspired by the success of Live Aid in the \u201880s and wanting to replicate that humanitarian effort. \u201cSeeing all of those people together on the same screen was truly an emotional experience for me.\u201d

Adds video creator Greg Young, \u201cI was excited to take on the challenge of creating this protest video from artists around the globe. I love how we can now collaborate long distance and \u2018Come Together\u2019 for a great cause.\u201d

The day of its release, March 24, \u201cCome Together (We Will Stop You)\u201d was the best selling song in any format on Bandcamp. And after four straight days of retaining the top position, it still continues to hover near the very top of the sales charts on the music-selling website.

Petke and the team are moved by the success of the song, which has received international attention, but recognize that there is much more work to be done. \u201cIt\u2019s becoming very clear that the war in Ukraine will not be ending any time soon,\u201d he says. \u201cIt will take a sustained effort to help the people of Eastern Europe, so it\u2019s important that we continue to raise money and send aid.\u201d

It\u2019s a sentiment shared by many of the song\u2019s collaborators as well. Geno Lenardo (ex-Filter) says, \u201cWe all truly need to \u2018Come Together\u2019 to support Ukraine in every way we can. This song is an outreached hand to them. It lets them know that we are watching daily, and that we care. I hope everyone who hears it can give what they can! As it's been said, \u2018We make a living by what we get. But we make a life by what we give.\u2019\u201d

And Bill Gould adds, \u201cI\u2019m happy that I was asked to be a part of this, and I hope it does some good.\u201d

The Pipeman interviews legendary producer John Fryer. John was triggered by what is happening in Ukraine and lead to creating this song. It seems like the last 10 years we\u2019ve digressed. The new song is called Come Together (We Will Stop You). They made this song for all people to help them. They are trying to raise money for these people of the war. Whether it be the Russian soldier\u2019s families, or the Ukrainian people affected by this. Russian musicians couldn\u2019t be involved in this because the potential of them going to jail for a minimum of 16 years. The reason why he changed the lyric at the end of the song to \u201cwe will stop you\u201d. He saw the Russian people chanting that in the streets at Putin. They would like 100 % of the proceeds to go to the cause. They have a Ukrainian band that helped. There\u2019s a large list of contributors from all over.
