So you know why we started our bakery. If not, let me tell you.

Perfectly Pastry is run by sisters me, Lindsey, and my sister, Lacey, with our mom, Chef Chris Phillips. We started the business after our mom came to a crossroads in her life. After 20 years in the accounting world, she decided it’s time to do something that she likes. She no longer could stand going to work each day and sitting behind a desk and computer. Now we create delightful cupcakes, pies, and breads for your enjoyment.

Well, that only tells you part of the story. It tells you what my mom did to prepare for the opening of our business, but it doesn't tell you what I did to prepare.

I had no business experience prior to starting our bakery business so I took it upon myself to start to acquire the skills necessary to run a business.
