Ep. 170 Millie De Chirico
Millie De Chirico is a writer, film & tv historian, and the former chief programmer for TCM Underground. Her latest book,\xa0TCM Underground: 50 Must-See Films from the World of Classic Cult and Late-Night Cinema (co-authored with Quatoyiah Murry and foreword by Patton Oswalt) explores gritty and eccentric cinema from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. The book goes beyond simple reviews and dissects each film from each respective author's unique perspective. In this interview we discuss working with a co-author, introducing films to new audiences, and (my favorite) melodramas.
