Welcome to the month-long, Halloween special edition relaunch of Pelham Place. Taking you on a daily journey across the globe to some of the scariest and most popular haunted attractions around. Showcasing haunted houses, immersive experiences, theme park experiences, and home haunts.
Episode 27 - HexHouse (Tulsa, OK)www.hexhouse.com@hexhouse
HexHouse™ has long been known for being the scariest and best haunted house in Tulsa, Oklahoma. But in recent years HexHouse™ was rated as one of the Top 15 scariest Haunted Houses in America.
Earning its spot as one of the BEST Haunted Houses in America, HexHouse, not intended for children, is one of the most extreme haunted attractions in the country. An intense multi-element, walk through haunted attraction. You will be fully submerged in an altered reality that is much darker and less predictable than anything you’ve ever seen before. As you make your way through the flickering haunted hallways and eerie ghostly rooms of HexHouse™, you descend from mere creepiness into a full-on, intense nightmare that you won’t soon forget. The gruesome sets have horrific detail. The Actors are allowed to touch you and are trained to truly suspend reality for a moment in time, allowing you to experience what real terror is.
Hexhouse is inspired by a true story from Tulsa’s dark past - A 1944 investigation by police revealed a small casket buried in the backyard of a Tulsa house and two young women who had been under hypnotic or occult control for seven years. The investigation was nicknamed the “Hex House” case because police and reporters thought it had all the makings of a spooky Halloween story - bondage, spell-casting, and hypnotism. But the case was real and led to prison time for Carolann Smith, and freedom for the two young women.
The Hex-House became a favorite site to visit on Halloween for years after the case was settled, but the house was torn down in 1975.
HexHouse makes it a point that their goal is not to entertain you, but instead to allow you to realize what REAL terror is. The three attractions - HexHouse, Westside Grim & Rise of the Living Dead are intense multi-element dark attractions. There are no barriers between you and the surrounding terror, and you will be touched inside the attraction.
For tickets and details, check out their website at hexhouse.com
