In 1987, my High School Basketball team, was a pretty good team. We had a record of 4-1, and we were facing Lakeland Kathleen, a school we have never played before. When we walked in, the team was watching the girls game. They were small & unassuming. While students were coming up and looking at our two 6’7 players in awe. We thought, this will be fun game! As the game got going, you could hear the cheerleaders chanting, "You got it... now use it! You got it... now use it!" Well, Lakeland Kathleen got, used it and destroyed us like were weren't even on the court! We got incredibly humbled in that experience, because We thought we were better than we really were!
