Episode 113 of One Week Only! To start off, we lament the fact that we are not in Cannes this week, but we discuss the winners of the Cannes Film Festival. Our key film of the week is "The Day After" about a book publisher and his wife, who thinks he's having an affair with his new secretary. Directed by Hong Sang-soo, it's another touching, funny and deeply human story about fractured relationships and flawed people trying to connect. (30:20) We also discuss the documentary "Filmworker" about Stanley Kubrick's right hand man Leon Vitali, directed by Tony Zierra (5:45), the Baltimore drama "Sollers Point" directed by Matthew Porterfield (13:05), and the documentary "Saving Brinton" about rediscovered film history, directed by Andrew Sherburne & Tommy Haines (21:50). Hosted by Carlos Aguilar & Conor Holt. Music by Kevin MacLeod at www.incompetech.com
