In this episode of Casual Chats, Patricia and special guest Remington Keyes from The Nerd Talk Podcast discuss about the 2019 Nickelodeon movie Dora and the Lost City of Gold based on the 2000 Nick Jr. show Dora the Explorer. The movie is about a teenage Dora who is brought to Los Angeles after living in the jungle with her parents all her life to go to school and interact with teenagers her age as well as her cousin Diego. Her parents decide to search for the ancient Incan city Parapata which has lots of gold, but disappeared. Dora, Diego, and their classmates Sammy and Randy are kidnapped, but was rescued by a family friend named Alejandro. Together, they search for the city of Parapata and Dora's parents.

When the movie premiered in theaters, it made $120 million dollars out of a $49 million dollar budget receiving praise from critics for its actors and self aware humor. What do Patricia and Remington think of the film? Listen and find out.
