In this episode of Journey to the Blue Sky, Arun and Patricia discuss about the 2013 Blue Sky Studios animated film Epic. Loosely based on the children's book The Leaf Men and the Brave Good Bugs by William Joyce, Epic is about a teenage girl named Mary Katherine who moves in with her father after her mother dies. Her father, a professor who is dedicated to looking for a group of creatures who live in the forest, ignores her and has no urgency to reconnect with her after being estranged from her for years. Mary Katherine starts leaving him behind, but gets caught up with the creatures that her father has been searching for and is shrunken by their queen to project the pod that would determine who the next queen is from the evil mastermind who wishes to turn the forest into decay.
