In this episode of In Search of the Crystal Skull, Patricia and Arun venture into a new themed month. This time, it's Nicktoons Movie Month and they start with the 2000 Nickelodeon animated film Rugrats in Paris, the second film in the Rugrats movie trilogy. The film starts with the wedding of Grandpa Phil and Lulu, but the focus is about Chaz wanting to find a wife for himself and a mother for Chuckie. Meanwhile, Stu's Reptar robot that he made for Euro Reptarland is busted and he brings his family and friends to Paris. Everything from Coco LaBouche, the supervisor of Euro Reptarland, using Chaz and Chuckie to get a promotion to Chuckie finding a mommy and learning to being brave to Spike meeting up with a stray poodle and wandering around the streets of France occurs in this film.
\nWhen Rugrats in Paris premiered in theaters, it made over $103 million dollars with mixed to positive reviews from critics saying that the film's charm won them over, but the gross out moments and soundtrack detracted them. It currently has a 75% on Rotten Tomatoes and is the only Rugrats film that is in the Fresh Range. With this film being a childhood favorite for a lot of people, what do Arun and Patricia think of the film? Listen and find out.
