In this episode of DreamMachine, Patricia and Arun discuss about the 2000 stop motion animated film Chicken Run. The story is about a group of chickens who are forced to lay eggs on their farm or else they get killed off. The leader of the chickens, Ginger, is trying to find ways to help the chickens escape but with no luck. But things turn out well when an American rooster named Rocky who escaped from the circus by flying away. His wing ends up broken and he teaches them on how to fly. Meanwhile, the Tweedys' egg collecting isn't making enough money so Mrs. Tweedy decides to make chicken pies and purchases a machine that'll make them. Will the chickens escape on time?
\nWhen the movie premiered, it was praised by critics and fans and made $225 million dollars in the box office. It's currently the highest grossing stop motion animated movie ever and the most successful Aardman Animations movie ever released critical and financial wise.
