DreamMachine Episode 41: Trolls World Tour

In this episode of DreamMachine, Patricia and Arun discuss about the 2020 DreamWorks animated film Trolls World Tour, which is the sequel to the 2016 film Trolls based on the Trolls dolls. Poppy is adjusting to her new role as Queen of the Pop Kingdom when she learns that not only are there other kingdoms that play other genres of music, but the Queen of Rock named Barb is stealing all of the kingdoms' strings so that Rock would take over everything. Poppy, Branch, and Biggie travel to the other kingdoms to warn about Barb's conquering. Will Poppy stop Barb before she conquers all the troll kingdoms with rock and roll?

Trolls World Tour was originally suppose to premiere around February 14th, 2020 in theaters, but due to the coronavirus, it was pushed to April 10th being released on demand and other streaming services. As of September 2020, Trolls World Tour has become one of the most popular movies on VOD and has made over $20 million dollars out of its $100 million dollar budget. Patricia and Arun didn't care for the original Trolls movie when they saw it last year. Does the sequel improve on the original or is it as annoying as ever? Listen and find out.
