DreamMachine Episode 35: The Boss Baby

In this episode of DreamMachine, Patricia and Arun discuss about the 2017 DreamWorks animated film, The Boss Baby, based on the book of the same name by Marla Frazee. Tim is a happy 7 year old boy who is the only child to his parents. One day, his mother asks him if he wanted a brother with him stating 'no', only to learn that she was pregnant. When the baby brother comes home, not only does he talk and calls himself "The Boss", but is a secret agent for a fight against babies and puppies. Will Tim and The Boss get along? Well The Boss succeed in his mission?

When the movie premiered in theaters, it made over $528 million dollars on a $125 million dollar budget. However, it received mixed to negative reviews from critics and viewers. It has gotten an animated series on Netflix called The Boss Baby: Back in Business and will be getting a sequel in 2021. How do Arun and Patricia feel about the film? Listen and find out.
