Yet the new manager has encountered significant frustration, with a series of seemingly failed bids for central midfielders. But have Moyes and the new United executive vice chairman Ed Woodward been culpable in an embarrassing set of market gaffes?\xa0On the theme of Old Trafford's bean counters the squad flew more than 25,000 miles touring Asia and Australia.
