December 22 - December 28, 1987
Dover and Russellville, Arkansas
Over the course of a one week period, Ronald Gene Simmons Sr. murdered a total of 16 people.
Most of whom (14 to be exact) were his own family members...but police didn't know that he had killed his own family until they attempted to contact them on December 28, 1987 AFTER he had killed 2 and wounded 4 others in a 45 minute rampage around town...
When it was his time, he welcomed death with open arms...
This killing spree has been described as the worst mass murder in Arkansas history and the worst crime involving one family in the history of the country.
What do you think about this case? Pretty messed up, right? Do you think he killed his entire family because he couldn't take the pressure or the guilty conscience of what he did to his daughter?
