On May 27th, 1991, a call came in to the front desk of the Palm Springs Ramada Inn. The caller was 33-year-old Susan Schnell, a guest at the hotel. Shockingly, Schnell said that she had been sexually\nassaulted and her throat had been slit. The battered woman was in critical condition but fortunately, she survived. Police quickly arrested her attacker. When investigators questioned the man about the attack on Schnell, they got much more than they bargained for. He admitted not only to the abduction and assault of Susan Schnell, but also told police where they could find the body of a young woman in Seattle whom he had murdered the previous Friday. After being alerted of this grisly confession, King County Police soon found the body of a young woman inside the trunk of her own car. The body was identified as being 21-year-old Holly Washa.
