Since the 1880s, immigrants from all over the globe have arrived in the United States hoping to attain a\nbetter quality of life, the American Dream. Like so many immigrants before them, Lily and Ben Chin\nwanted their son Vincent to have more opportunities than he may have had in their native China. In the\n1970s and 1980s, however, tensions were high between Japanese and American automobile\nmanufacturers, and that discord extended beyond the auto manufacturing plants. It was at this time that\n27-year-old Vincent Chin found himself in peril on the streets of Motor City. His story reminds us why this\nlandmark case is still relevant more than 40 years later.\n\nLet\u2019s get social: Follow MURDERISH on Instagram & TikTok @MurderishPodcast.
