September 2nd, 1945 - World War II is over! A time for celebration and rejoicing,\nexcept in the small town of Campbell, California. Like most towns at the time, the\nfolks were happy that the war was over, and life was slowly returning to normal.\nThat is, tragically except for one poor family in Campbell. It was Friday\nnight, November 2nd. The high school was the site of a fall\ntradition, an interschool football game. Thora Chamberlain, just shy of her 15th\nbirthday, was supposed to be at the game with her friends but she didn\u2019t arrive\nat the game and never came home afterwards.
