On Wednesday 24th of May 1871, a wealthy bachelor called Frederick Moon came 23 Newton Road in Bayswater, the lavish home of his girlfriend Hannah Newington for dinner. They ate fine food, they drank good wine, they listened to music on the piano, and then \\u2013 for reasons that no-one could fathom \\u2013 he ended up dead.


But who had killed him? His girlfriend, her lover, their guests, himself, or was it fate?
