Hey! Jason Yarusi here.

LeAn Randell Wortman grew up on a remote island in Alaska where homesteading and living off of the land was the custom to owning and operating her own real estate investment firm, Fortunate Homes, in Austin, Texas.  

She grew up close to her father who participated in the commercial fishing industry with real estate investment properties on Prince of Wales Island.

At a young age, she learned the importance of hard work, how to use tools, the basics of residential construction, and how to operate heavy machinery.

After graduating from the University of Alaska with a Bachelor\'s in Biology and a Minor in Anthropology, she obtained a 100 Ton Captain\'s License. Despite her love for the sea and nature, Leanne felt the entrepreneurial urge.

The mission of Fortunate Foundations is to help make the world a better place one home at a time through green building practices while helping more people to create a lasting, positive change.
