If our roommate in a Manhattan pre-war rent controlled apartment tried to kick us out we can\u2019t promise we wouldn\u2019t go a little crazy ourselves.\xa0 We watched Single White Female (1992) with friend of the pod Jose Galvez (Very Special Television) and we\u2019re all considering changing our name to Hedra.\xa0 This early 90\u2019s noir tackles the real problems of being a single gal in the city - sexism at work, adulterous boyfriends and creepy obsessive puppy kicking roommates who practice casual at-home nudity and attempt to take over your life.\xa0 This movie is hagsploitation at its finest and the screenplay by Don Roos (The Opposite of Sex, Happy Endings) has enough gay touchstones (Wigs! Male nudity! Stiletto\u2019s as weapons!) to make John Waters proud.
