Hey everyone, what some are calling the cinematic family event of the holiday season - Wonka - has hit theaters. From the director of the two Paddington films comes a Willy Wonka prequel that (apparently) is meant to precede the events of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, starring Gene Wilder. I was interested in this movie based on the director alone, despite being a huge fan of the Roald Dahl story when I was younger. I went in hoping for a big and light-hearted fun time. Is that what I got?
