Hey everyone, the introduction of the first DCU hero (in the words of James Gunn) - Blue Beetle - has now arrived in theaters, with Xolo Maridue\xf1a in the title role. I have loved the character of Blue Beetle (albeit the Ted Kord version) for a long time and he's a character who's deserved more of a spotlight than he's been given by DC over the past few decades. This project was very interesting because it originally was set for an HBO Max release (now Max) but then moved to theatrical distribution. So, is Blue Beetle the film that will turn around DC's recent box office woes... or is it another generic superhero movie? Find out in this review!
